Creating the 9th Symphony Art Collection has been a fulfilling and creative endeavor that combines cultural universals such as visual art and music embedded in lovely feline friends.
The collection of notebooks that can inspire people of all ages to draw, sketch, design, or write resulted from a continuous exploration to identify gifts for talented individuals. This led us to develop a series of 9 journal books. Each one displays the original artwork of Colombian artist Jorge Restrepo, commissioned by Wintia Memoirs™.
The paintings were visualized through a series of sketches and drawings of musical instruments using cats as the main characters in poses unique to felines, Cats become the musician and the instrument as one and the same! The ingenious illustrations bring to life the cats in cello, piano, saxophone, flute, marimba, guitar, harp, accordion, and tuba. The 9th Symphony Art Collection was presented at an exhibition in Colombia on September 8, 2023, and now resides at Wintia Memoirs headquarters in New Jersey.
The nine works of art were printed on the hardcovers of the journal books. The inside pages carry different designs in each journal, and each set consists of one dot grid, one ruled page, and one blank notebook. After a few months in the making, we proudly present the journal notebooks for your enjoyment. These are now available for sale at Wintia Memoirs’ publisher store on Amazon.
